Memtest86 Results

Panic over, I was selecting wrong option. So I'm flashed to 2.9 now. I guess it's time to reinstall Windows!

My board is arriving tomorrow, what option did you have to select? and good luck with your install!

Utilities > MFlash > Update BIOS > Select One file to update BIOS.

There is a greyed out option for select one file to update BIOS on the first MFlash screen but you want the one that's a level deeper in Update BIOS.

Right, I just blue screened while I was installing Windows 7 only my fully reformatted HDD. I'm really thinking that this is a HDD issue. Will swap it out for a spare and test.

Got windows installed on spare HDD with no errors. Ran a windows memory diagnostic and it still says hardware problems were detected. Next step to try each RAM stick 1 at a time?

Just tried with one of my sticks taken out and it ran with no problems detected?! Maybe my HDD is fine and the RAM HAS been the problem lol.

Ok so:

I took one stick out and windows memory diagnostic no longer detected any faults.

Swapped sticks over and the faults were detected again. I think I can safely say that one of my RAM sticks are faulty and exchanging them for new ones with the manufacturer is my next move?

Did you buy them from Ocuk? if so I would return the memory to them.

I sure did :) I will get in touch with their customer services. Thanks for your help mate. Good luck with your build, all said and done I really like the Mobo :)

Was asked for my Order Number and he sent me an RMA instructions email. Checked details and he had written that my fault was memtest86 failing which wasn't the case at all. So I rang to clarify and he stated that they won't recognise RAM as faulty unless it fails memtest86. I was quite surprised so I started pushing him since I know one of the sticks are faulty. He basically ended up telling me to follow the RMA and they will send me new ones regardless of the memtest86 policy :S.

I only queried it because I didn't want them to get the RAM, test it and then say "There's no errors, no replacement for you". Apparently it's unlikely that they will even test the RAM, instead they'll just send me 2 new sticks. As long as that's the case then I'm happy :)

Labelled and sent from work today. Hopefully will have a quick turnaround time since I'm currently borrowing flatmates old RAM sticks.
