Ive heard of memtest pretty often wayne, a while back a mate of mine gave me a copy of ultimate boot cd, which iirc contains memtest. if i was to use this cd to test my ram (thanfully its ok at the mo) is it just the same procedure as downloading a memtest iso, burn to disc and boot from it to test ram. and also how do you test 4gb of ram when your on a 32 bit os, in my case xp 32.:)

Yup just download and burn the .iso to blank CD-ROM (i.e Nero disk image or saved project etc).

The test is loaded directly from the CD (if your BIOS boot order has the Optical 1st) and is O/S independant so as long as you have a 64-bit enabled processor you can test your 4GB kit (best done overnight as kits larger than 2Gb take quite a while to test!).

I'm glad they updated this app as it's a classic!
