have to try it from a bootable CD... tried it from my pen drive (which worked fine with previous versions) and just an almost empty bluescreen with a flashing cursor a couple of yellow bars and nothing else.

How does it work on a pen-drive?

I got a single file called 'mt170.exe' that doesn't do anything when clicked?

tried to boot from it but no joy (system is ok at booting from a thumb drive).

I used the HP utility to make the pen drive a bootable dos disc and put the mt170.exe on there... doesn't seem to work too well tho... so I guess I'm gonna be burning the iso to CD to try that.

Ok loaded it from floppy, seems ok?

Still doesn't pick up the 965 chipset or memory timings though?

Wouldn't mind knowing how your meant to boot it from USB?
