Men and Engagement bands

Do men wear engagement bands?
My gf wants me to wear one to officially announce that we are engaged but I thought it's just women who wear one.

I'm not aware of it being the custom for men to wear an engagement RING but I'm sure that if you wanted to, you would just be thought of as married.

Yeah I have one. nothing wrong with it at all IMHO. It's not the 1930's and all that "it's not traditional so don't do it" is a waste of space...so if you want one go for it.

When I got engaged, I, naturally, had an engagement ring and hubby decided to have a crucifix.

Not traditional, and I don't have one, but can't see any reason why you shouldn't wear one

I had a white gold and diamond ring , don't wear it now we are married as it would be a bit much with 2 on one finger

Personally, I'm not fussed either way, I know lots of men that do and lots that done, its up to you really.

I didnt have one. I have a wedding ring but i dont wear it as i hate having things on my fingers

I've got 2 rings on that finger, one she bought me and one my boy bought me when he was 4 months old (he gets too much pocket money!)
