Please welcome the Men of Honour for 2016.

All these members have contributed notably to the forums in many different ways.
From being part of the moderating team, posting interesting and helpful posts/threads, contributing positively to the community here at OcUK and/or continuing projects/threads that require a lot of administration and their own time and effort.

Please use this thread for congratulations and not for quibbling about the validity of the awards.

The MOH 2016 are:

Andybtsn
Angilion
cainer
Eyedot
Kaapstad
mrk
Shimmy
Steedie
tom_e

Congratulations guys, well deserved and thanks. :)

This is our reasoning for our choices this year, some are long overdue -

Andybtsn: He was a member of the moderation team for a number of years, devoting a lot of time and effort to keeping the forums running smoothly. An all round nice chap even if he does support Leeds Utd but then we do all have our crosses to bear.

Angilion: He has provided excellent contributions in GD and elsewhere, erudite and informative he manages to remain consistently polite even when faced with provocation and people disagreeing with his point of view.

cainer: He has been the driving force and organiser behind the OcUK Secret Santa for a number of years, helpful and friendly even if his taste in food is somewhat more questionable.

Eyedot: He has been a member of the moderation team, furthermore he has been a member of the forums for years, is respected across the forums for his knowledge (and his cars). He is always helpful, does not get involved in arguments and contributes to the community positively enhancing the character of the forums. Furthermore, he has hosted OcUK forums in the past for many years coping with copious F5 threads!

Kaapstad: He continues to make huge contributions in the GPU section with help and advice. He has created numerous owners threads as well as benchmark threads and is constantly updating them, not to mention sharing his passion for all things GPU.

mrk: He has been a member of the forums for years and provides large amounts of help and advice, particularly in the Windows subforum.

Shimmy: An excellent contributor in the motorsport subforums. Shimmy has been running the F1 race threads and keeping them updated with a significant amount of changing information (and pictures). As a poster with almost no rule breaks, he's caught the attention as someone who actively contributes to the forums in a professional and helpful manner.

Steedie: Anyone in the Sports Arena will recognise his name. He has posted a plethora of gym, bodybuilding, diet and nutrition threads. Furthermore, he relentlessly continues to organise gym meets (about a dozen so far at least) and has helped to forge dozens of friendships outside of the forums. He continues to take a lead in gym related threads, offering advice, guidance and banter bringing that particular part of the forum and community together. This sense of community and engagement with the forum is what he is being recognised for.

tom_e: Another sports arena contributor, who has put a massive amount of effort to help new gym goers, posting advice and taking the time out to help people in the start of their gym/fitness/lifestyle change journeys. He is also active in other parts of the forum and behaves in an exemplary manner, whilst also helping to uphold the values and rules of the forum.
