Anybody use/like the stuff?

I ran out of Auto Glym Super Resin, and had some Mer.

What horrible stuff to use, it feels like all the hard work thats gone into cleaning the Astra up have been wasted.

The paintwork doesnt feel as smooth as when i use the other polish, and it doesnt 'look' good in certain angles aswell.

This is how it came out, still looks a good finish, but it seemed very poor compared to the AG i usually swear by...

Whats anyone elses experience of Mer?

I use it, i think it brings my car up brilliantly, i find its easy to buff off to.

Apparently you can......still looks like an Astra of course, but at least it's a fairly clean one!

Used To use Mer, now like you I prefer AG.

Didn't you only do this the other week? Why are you polishing again so soon?

How old was the Mer? Could be it was starting to "go off" with age?

I always polish regularly, probably more than i should, but it does no harm, and if i dont polish it as frequently as i am doing, the paint does begin to fade rather quickly.

Just switched back to Mer this weekend after using Meguires 3 stage stuff for about 2 years on my car. I did the bike with the Megs last week and it looked truely terrible which is something I never noticed on the car being flat white.
TBH it took around a quarter of the time to do and the finish seems MUCH better to me, its silky smooth to the touch. The Meguires I find leaves a very greasy and streaky look no matter how much hard work I put in to it. Also it costs a third of the price for the big tub. Win Win IMO.
Can't speak for the AG stuff as I have never used it really, though my dads car looks good and he uses the super resin stuff.
