I know, it's not really a launch, but Mercedes have been tweeting a few little videos.

I think autosport summed up the look as something like reminiscent of the Williams 2015 nose and all I thought was, it was reminiscent of the Mercedes 2014 nose and the Williams new nose is like the Merc nose with a short fat knob on the end of it.

In terms of nipple-less you could say the Mclaren had gone similar to last years Merc but, when you look at the difference in length the Mclaren seems an odd departure from what everyone did last year.

From the overhead view last year effectively most cars were stopping the nose where the mobil or the 1, then either you had Merc stopped there or most others with a giant knob stuck to the front. Mclaren have basically widened the knob to be the full width of the nose rather than just remove it and have the nose finish further back. As the general trend last year was moving the nose higher/further back for better performance and those that needed to did the knob for regulations, Mclaren seem to have gone entirely opposite, longer, lower and blocking more airflow.

Very similar notes to Lotus.

Cant expect to see too many new things on the W06...i mean why change a winning formula? ;)

I do wonder why the FIA haven't moved the camera locations to an area where the new new noses will actually be?

e.g. lower?

Too low and the footage would be useless surely, you wouldn't see anything other than a close up of tarmac :p

I vividly remember in 1995 seeing a camera shot from the front-wing end-plate of a Ferrari at Monaco. It was what made me realise I could never be an F1 driver (among many other things, but boys can dream!).

It really wouldn't work in the mile wide Tilke era we're in though. :(

Same as last year
Bit nothingy

To many silver cars with streaks of colour!

Love the nose though!
