Hi all

My E220d needs its annual "Service B", entailing:

...so basically mostly checking stuff and change of oil and filter, which I could do myself for about £50 and an hour of my time. This is surely taking the absolute mick.

There's another £20 to pay if I want a courtesy car too.

I'm starting to wonder if I really need to be paying this much but then I'm thinking of 1. residuals for FMSH and 2. my extended warranty and them wriggling out of stuff if I take it elsewhere.

Any tips, or do I just have to suck it up?

I agree with all the above sentiments, just not sure what to do about it. Presumably if any parts are genuine Merc they can't wriggle out of warranty claims?

Lol

What year is the car? I gave up on Merc on my 68 plate 2 services ago. I found a specialist AMG/M car bloke. I doubt it'd affect residuals at all and places like Motorway or WBAC don't even ask whether it's dealer or not.

18 plate.
