Wow, it IS a direct port from console land

No 16:10 resolution options, just standard 16:9 and 4:3 TV options. Can't select 1680 x 1050 :mad:

Have to see if there's an ini file to change.

Could i ask for a screenshot of the gfx settings if there is any i always like knowing what settings i can play with in games lol.

Also whats the fps like?

Found the ini file, but when I alter the resolution the game just defaults to stock resolution settings (680x480).

Changing this file, these settings, to my resolution.

Need a patch quickly on this. Game plays ok so far (only done about 5 mins

), very similar to how I remember the first one being. Off to give it a fair go now.

If you can get that ini to work it seems theres a viewdistance setting which might allow for far off viewing in detail.

those gfx look terrible compared to the gamespot vids. Wonder why.

Try chaning the settings in ini to 3 instead of 2 etc in places. Might boost the gfx somewhat?

Got the view distance maxed, just want my native resolution. Not the end of the world though, just surprising to find on a modern release.

Can you wander about and do what you like before doing the objective and is it timed?

You can blow ANYTHING and EVERYTHING up at the same time. The WHOLE world is open with NO loading zones. You can free roam and do WHATEVER you want before, after, or during completing objectives.

Set the .ini to read only after you have made your changes and the game wont be able to change it back.

About the ini, there maybe another ini in my documents or hidden in C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR NAME\Application Data.

Only just finished the first few missions, going to go and have a play around with stealing vehicles etc now.

Glad to hear that, was getting slightly worried by the last few posts. I loved Mercs 1, last game I completed on PS2!
