Hey guys,

I have a job interview on Tuesday 23rd of March for a merchant helpdesk position. It’s really my first proper interview for a job and knowing that there will be a couple of people that use these forums do a similar job I was wondering if anyone had any pointers or advice for the interview. The job is for Commidea who are based in Ashford, Kent.

They have given good feedback on my CV, being impressed with my degree (computer science) so hopefully things will go well.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Cheers in advance

Lee

Hi Lee,

I used to work as a Merchant Helpdesk Engineer for Commidea back in 2007, i think they have got a lot bigger now. the Manager at the time was Steve, really good man, he will be looking more for the type of person you are then your skills, most of the skills you will need you will have to learn on the job as they are the only place that does that.

The Pay isnt great and the hours are long but its a good step into working in IT,

the interview will be more geared towards personality rather than raw skill so just go in looking like you want to learn and you will be fine.

Good Luck
