Have set up a dual boot with both Xp and Vista and am happy enough to ditch XP now and stick with vista as I could do with the extra space on the vista partition.

My disk is setup like this at the moment:

2GB - Swap
60GB - Vista
30GB - XP
206GB - Media

I want to merge the XP and vista partions creating a 90GB Vista partition without having to reinstall vista. Is this possible? If it is what software will I need?

Im not entirely sure on the Vista compatibility with the partitions, but...

You can use Partition Magic.

You simply highlight the XP Partition, and delete it, and then stretch the Vista Partition to fill in the space left by the old XP Partition.

Like I said though, I dont know how PM is with Vistas idea of NTFS Partitions, or even if PM will run under Vista, I dont know, but it works just fine for me with XP / 2K / 9x / Linux ( Various ) partitions, and I also know that the PCs that I have seen recently that have had Vista + XP Installed, have often been wrecked due to the Partitioning... If you kill off the XP Partition then Vista starts back up kind of thing ( When the fools try to install XP after Vista by the looks of it )
