Sorry for another MTB buying post but I've just had a offer for this bike

Merlin Malt 4 (in white) in very very good condition,
hardly used and even then just in good wheather.

a little bit of spec.

frame 17 inch (M)
Wheels XT hubs, mavic xc717 rims
Forks Reba Team with pop-loc
brakes Magura Julie, hydro disc
Tyres Panaracer Fire xc pro (still on original tyres)
Stem / Bars FSA
Seat post FSA
Gears Shimano deore
Cranks Deore hollow tech/octalink

Should be mine for around £450,

Does it look like a cracking buy?

Damn looks like my current giant medium is 19" so I'm thinking way too small

Now seems that due to the nature of the frame people are buying 17" when 5'11

Hi,

You should put this question to uk-mtb.com, as that's where it's being sold - offers were at 500 quid originally, if you could get it for 450 it'd be a steal.

How tall are you Randell? he says his missus is 6foot and she rides it fine.

y'know his is up for sale now too? Little bit more expensive - diff brakes.

He said to me he wouldn't go lower than 490 for his missus' bike.

I was selling my bike to someone who was selling theirs. Their sale fell thru, as did mine, so I can't buy this other Merlin.

Looking at the Rock Lobster Team Tig as Merlin is doing it for 900 now. Of course, my mind will change like a million times before I buy though. Part of me still wants hardtail, but then a small part of me wants an XC full susser like an Anthem.

I dunno...
