Mersey Music 3 Gig

I covered a gig recently in Liverpool, my first with Gary Fongs milk bottle (lightsphere 2). Quite pleased with the results but it taught me one thing. The lightsphere can fall off and roll

So since then its been velcroed onto my flash. I've also been inspired by the amount of detail and sharpness of others shots so I've spent a lot of time in PS trying to work out wtf they do. I'm hoping I'm progressing along the right lines.

#1 and #7 are diffenately the best of the lot imo. Donno if it's jsut me but I can't actually spot the focus point on #6 ?

Its meant to be his hand / the guitar but I think there may have been too much motion blur on his hand.

I love #8. It's got a self portait look about it as his hand is off image.

What did you? Use the flash to freeze and then spin the camera around for a bit?
