looking for some advice, have moved into new house that is three storeys, we have BT ultrafast on a FTTP with a smart hub 2.

Wi-fi is ok in house but could do with extending, but we also have a detached studio over the garage with virtually no Wi-fi but it does have a cat 5 extension.

We want to connect some hive bulbs in studio so looking for a mesh Wi-fi solution.

Any suggestions for best bit of kit?

Cheers

I have the same as you, BT FTTP with SH2..and I bought the 3 disc Complete WI-FI kit and I get great speeds and connectivity.

I have everything wireless..apart from my pc, which connects to the Ethernet port on one of the discs to the Ethernet port on the motherboard. I average on SpeedTest around 260-290mbps on the PC..

I have the new BT Smart Hub 2 with a disc and it's honestly the best experience I've ever had with ISP-provided kit. Turned it on back in November, and it's worked flawlessly since. My FTTC is only 70Mbps but I get that throughout the house.

I could probably do better with a bunch of wired APs but I just can't be bothered to do it.
