Ok I got a Microserver and I tried using the ecc ram you get and another PSU and still I get a red light? I hear of ILO? I cannot WOL it, I HAVE seen on other sites little PCI(E?) mobo diag tools? would they help as they are cheap HP as heck.
Contact HP I guess - would I get another 40nl, as I wouldnt mind paying for th e musle of the new one. However, I would not mind building one fhom scratch, my closed thread wasn't intended to sound as I was selling but to look at other >200gbp machines.

Then I have 2x m4 SSD 256gb ONE in this laptop which I want moving to the server and one is in my gaming rig. but that would probs be recording drive/boot (encrypted)
I also plan on seeing if my sister would trade her hitachi/tosihba 500gb for a e WD BLUE I got a tosihba too so RAID 0+1 and she gets a wd drive (if its better heh)
I was gunna try a 250gb drive from her netbook which just needs a screen IMO but she likes it broke as a 60gb ssd +ubuntu would be neat shame it's pink (MSI WIND one)
Ubuntu Server probably. 2x8gb fastest RAM maybe and 4core cpu like the 160gbp mobo/cpu I mentioned with 8x SATA3 was it
I'd like more space TV CARD for Satalite. Maybe PCIE ethernet and wifi? I am getting fibre I hope soon but should I use thier router or the server then out to thier router tosihba wd750 and then an 8porter TPLINK for cams and security stuff anyway I have near 100M of cat5e and cat6e I am thinking of POE 48v'ers that have power supps then from router to injecter and out to device and I still need need extracters? Mostly 5v but 9/12v too? Was gunna get a surgue/UPS too
thinking do I need special mobo for ESXi? Would I be better getting a HPMS (newer) and clustering? or use my gaming rig still it's eco power trying to save. I got my m4a77TD mobo which wont post gunna swap CPU but no thermal - trip to owwww near said it

I have in my upstairs rig (not the best spec) a nice LC20 case in black. I have a huge silver coolermaster but it is huge and promised it me sister in a way. heh. CAN am2 fit into an am3+ mobo? Wanna see if the CPU sucks or board on this rig here
Also I got another CPU pulled from my PC that was on fire, think that would work, it LOOKS supriseingly well after taking off the ZALMaN
