I have tried everything your meant to and its still not working.

I've disabled windows firewall.
I've disabled UPnP on my router.
I've got NOD32, so its not a virus.
I don't have spyware.
I've deleted registry entries.
I've reinstalled twice.
I've done the offline IE changes.
I've enabled SSL 1-3.
I've done a ipconfig /dnsflush

My girlfriend can log in fine and where on the same network.

It worked until 3 days ago.

I'm on Vista 64bit home premium.

Please please help me.

So your girlfriend and you are connecting through the same router? And she has no problems, implying a setting change on your PC/laptop? Are you running something like Spybot - Search and Destroy? Sometimes MSN reckons that the entries in my hosts file are wrong, something that Spybot does for me.

Also did you install something 3 days ago?

Hey, thanks for replying.

I've not installed anything new that would effect it.

PowerISO is the last thing i installed.

Me and the girlfriend connect through the same Netgear DG834GT router and never had an issue before.

It seems to be worse now then previously.

Changing my overclock back to 2.13ghz from 3.2ghz allows me to log in.

I installed spybot yesterday after doing sweap for spyware which might be the issue and found nothing also nod32 found no viruses.

My host file has shed loads of spyboy entries.

Cant delete them as apparently im not the admin, even tho i am.

If you run Spybot, go to the Immunise tab then scroll to the bottom and you'll see a Windows/Global (Hosts) section. Leave that option ticked and untick all the others then click on the Undo button. Spybot should then remove its entries from the hosts file. :)

Ok, done that.

Just found out that i can connect to messenger through HTTP but if i run the TCP test, it fails.

Yeah, that works fine.

If i reduce my overclock i can connect.

If i keep my overclock, after restarts it'll connect randomly. So i could reboot 10 times and it doesnt work, but if i reboot for the 11th time, i'll log in.
