Am I the only one to find that Sata cables are almost exempt from the 'tidy case' rule? Because of the angle of the ports on my mobo, and the positioning for my hard drive and optical drive (and the fact that my hard drive is non-standard and the Sata ports on it are UPSIDE DOWN) my Sata cables are impossible to hide! I've managed to get them out of the way of any air flow, but with a few more hard drives (as I'm intending soon) that may become more difficult, and even uglier!

What are your solutions? This problem, along with a few other minor issues, are pushing my hand towards purchasing a new case...

General rule for hard drive cable management is to mount them the other way round. So the cables arent actually in view and you can them route them round the back of the cage/motherboard tray.

I will try and find a good example pic for you...

How about angled sata cables?I have seen them with 90 degree ends both ways(cable comes out of top or bottom)

i find SATA cables some of the hardest to move out of the way. mainly because of their rigidity. plus, they are smaller and can be more prone to disconnect if angled incorrectly.

adds to the challenge i suppose

This can be sorted very easily with just buying urself some decent sata cables

As these cables are not a stiff as standard budget sata cables simple put just do what Blackhawk said along with getting urself some Right angles cables (e.g. like the akasa ones). Just remenber that the standard ones are rubbish for routing (mainly cause they are so stiff). Go buy urself some decent ones and figure out if u need one or two ended right angle sata cables. Then its childs play, the reason why ur having so much problem is ur trying to use the ****ty ones that come with a flat cables which makes them really stiff.

So really i suggest replacing them as u get none of the problems u detailed including the cables getting disconnected on hard corners. The simple fact is u get what u pay for in every way buy urself some decent ones. That will solve all ur problems just remenber to measure how long ur going to need by measuring the route that the cable will take.

Also if there facing upwards there is nothing wrong with swapping the hd round so that the bottom faces the top it will do no harm to the drive and solve ur problem of routing
