In a leaked memo, Meta's CTO told staff that 2025 will determine whether its hardware & metaverse division is "the work of visionaries or a legendary misadventure".

Another reddit thread I've just come across, is 1 of their bosses saying the future of Meta being involved in VR/MR depends on the success of Horizon Worlds? Bad if so, afaik HW isn't that popular or well received.

Horizon worlds is a toxic cesspit of american foulmouthed kids, who'll try and get you suspended/banned just for being an adult. They need to rethink it, or it will be the end of the metaverse.

Idc about the end of HW, some people are taking it as saying it'd affect the involvement of Meta in VR, hope that's not the case.

It's terrible. Pico actually had a decent crack at getting involved in live music events and comedy shows. Horizon worlds is just a really bad vrchat.
