Meta Quest 2 keeps disconnecting when casting to a none wifi TV using google chromecast!

hi,

recently got meta quest 2 from Ocuk, but i bought a google chromecast device to cast the vr to the tv when gaming and even though the chromecast is on 2.4Ghz WiFiand my vr meta is on 5ghz it still drops every few mins, longest its been connected is 6 mins

. i have no idea what im doing wrong or missing but i cant afford a new tv yet that would be wifi so the google chromecast was my best bet, please if anyone as any advice on what to do i would be very grateful.

im not sure with this one, even i cant help you here, maybe @melmac or @Ravenger can , as i know there VR knowledge is good, but Melmac is away at the moment

I could never get my Quest to stream to my Chromecast.

We use Chromecast casting now and again with the q2 and it's always been flaky for us.

does nvidia shield work, though seams very expensive

Forgot about this post, years later different bb isps etc and still this quest 2 which after wiping off the dust still disconnects after 30-60 secs, either casting thru shield or Chromecast. Which is a shame cos playing on vr without rest of the family seeing what's going is kinda boring imo that is

meta is on my router using 5ghz and my shield is Ethernet, i just wish i could find a fix so if after all this time anyone as something for me try please say
