Meta Quest 3 Controller Options for PCVR

I currently don't play much on PCVR however when I do I get controller issues. What to use, the controllers that come with the Quest, a gamepad or a hota/wheel.

I get a little confused. Do the controllers need to be connected to Steam or to the Meta and how to configure them easily. I just tried Evochron legend and got nowhere and when it gets confusing I think sod that an dplay something else.

Any links to a generic guide or anyone have any advice would be great.

PCVR I am looking to play are - Evochron, No Mans Sky, Subnautica and Project Cars 2.

For PCVR you plug the controller into a PC.

No Mans Sky is fully VR capable and doesn't support flight sticks, only motion controls or a gamepad.

Subnautica had a VR mod with full motion controls too, so no gamepad needed now.
