Metal Gear Rising

Yeah I know what you mean :( I remember when MGS come out, the disc case looked amazing, and it had 2 discs got it home and played it non stop.

Timeless classic.

Iam sorrry i love the metal gear series to bits......... but that looks truley awful what has happened to metal gear :(

Pretty confident about it. They've gone to a new engine and Platinum Games hasn't released any of their (latest atleast) games on the PC. So basically, extremely unlikely.

Outgrew this series when I realized I couldn't make head nor tail of the plot and the characters were just some teen angst fantasy.

The first one was a classic, the second had amazing graphics for the time but snake eater was a bit eh it has to be said.

I think to truley appreciate the Metal Gear series, you need to play them pretty much one after the other with it all fresh in your mind.

I did this while I was at Uni haha, loads of free time on my hands and the flatmates got involved as well. Proper getting into the storyline, got quite emotional at the end of MGS4 haha :P

But yeah the only relieving feature Rising has is that Kojima Productions is holding onto the storyline for this one. So it should be good from that perspective.

Yeah that was emotional for me as well, Snake going through the microwave corridor, the sense of him pushing on whilst emotional music playing, truly a fantastic series.

I hate the fact they have changed the story so its based after MGS 4 instead of between 2 and 4. It makes no sense considering the ending of number 4

Actually it can make sense with regards to Raiden himself and the MEtal Gear universe technology advancing.

And one possible reason why they changed it to the future setting is to get past Japan's censorship laws i.e. cutting and hacking up cyborg or Metal Gear mechas rather than actual humans.

You're joking?

If it don't come to PC, what a joke! PC gamers get screwed again.

Do you really want a game like this on PC? I honestly think this is one of those mindless hack/slash games (with added MGS Cutscenes/Story goodness) - btw, I am aware of Platinum Games' reputation, what with Bayonetta etc. but a part of me cannot fathom what value a game like this brings to the PC platform...

Yeah I would really, considering consoles are 6 year old tech, the game would look superb on a PC and DX11 etc, and I don't own a console anymore, shame really.

Loved number one where one of the bosses ****** with your TV :D

Prob my fave bit too. If I'm right it was mantis or something like that. The screen would go funny and next min he's next to you. "I can read your mind" (dual shock goes crazy) I think you fool him by putting it in port 2 or not use dual shock I forget lol
