Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes revealed

Aww, I was hoping the next instalment would be set in the present. I was hoping to see more of Meryl, Otacon and Drebin :(.
 
Will this story be linked with MGS3? I have yet to play Snake Eater, so maybe when I play that I might be left more excited for this. I have only played MGS, MGS2 and MGS4 so have become attached to the characters in these games.

Please don't let this be true :(:p. Unless its done in CGI, then it could be pretty cool, like an extra long cut scene :p.
 
Always good to hear about another MGS. I hope this doesn't turn out like Peace Walker though, I got bored rather quickly with that.

As well as announcing the new Metal Gear game, the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary event also confirmed that a movie based on the series is being made. Producing the film is Avi Arad, the former CEO of Marvel who is probably best know for being at the helm of Marvel's cinematic resurgence, with films like the original Spider-Man trilogy, the X-Men trilogy, and more. Columbia Pictures will be distributing the film. No further details--such as a release time frame, directors, or actors--were disclosed.

Won't be surprising that there will be another Metal Gear game and one in the main number canon.

Big Boss should be the way to go since really, Solid Snake's story is done and finished, unless they want to add something between Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid.

Besides, the original progenitor was practically the cause of everything and is the most bad ass out of them all. He was just that important!

Or Konami should just troll us and give us more Solidus Snake. :p
