Metal Gear Solid HD Question

I know I may not get a reply to this but I powered through MGS2 on hard and had "game over when detected" option enabled. I enjoyed it more this way but I've started MGS3 and this option doesn't seem available, not even a load option, so I just end up letting myself get killed and start again but this takes too long. Am I missing something? Any help would be great

I had the option for this (european extreme?), when you chose I liked/// what did you pick? I chose I like MGS3 and loads of difficulties came up.

Ahh I chose "i liked mgs2"
Guess ill have to start again then, I aren't too far in so its all good
