They're not, achievements are better because they have a numerical value (inb4 you can count the trophies)

it's a subjective opinion I personally prefer trophies but it's not something I particularly care about in a game. Still I guess it shows how much money you've donated to Microsoft/Sony.

You also have a trophy level, so it can be seen at a glance.
