Can someone explain the whole story line up till now because i just watched the new trailer on my PS3 and nearly peed myself. I'm definately gonna buy MGS4 but cant be bothered to play the earlier games in the series to get to know the story.
 
you NEED to play the previous games. they are some of the best games around imo :) and would do a beter job than anyone tryin to tell you what happenend

but if you really cant be bothered, wikipedia is your friend :) i think that has a bit of background on the story doesnt it?
 
I played 2 of the previous games.
Original on the PS1
Then the uber confusing one that came out on on the PS2 (think there were 2, only played first - was it sons of liberty)

I can't remember too much about the first, but I do remember the characters and some of the story. (played through twice)
Sons of liberty - I played it 3 times through, and I had no idea what it's about.
Lali lou li lou... and all sorts of weirdness, and a fag with blonde hair.

I also would like the whole story explained thus far.
 
after watching this trailer it made me want to play the previous games. Pretty much simply to work out what the hell they were talking about! but i think i will as i know they are meant to be some of the best and there must be a reason for it. Luckily my house mate is a MGS nut so he has them all :)
