any other suggestions?

Didn't know other people on OcUK liked power metal

I absolutely love it, but you didn't include Edguy or Rhapsody

what about Manowar? Stratovarius? Primal Fear? Agent Steel? Angel Dust?

Manowar

Legend Maker

And general good metal like Edguy, Motorhead etc.

Went to see Dragonforce + Edguy friday night, damn it rocked hard.

you seeing Monster Magnet or Killing Joke this year at manchester?

Killing Joke are the best live performance I have ever seen

been going since the early 80's and are still stunning live.

Also may want to check out Symphony X, very talented IMO, although not the first band that springs to mind.

That dragonforce gig certainly got me and my mates into the metal mood, been frantically looking for other gigs to go to
