That stainless steal springy thing is perfect for me. We have gone through several sucker ones but they all Scare the carp out of us in the middle of the night with a huge smash as they fall of.
The glue is very strong, I wouldn't hang of it but you could probably put a 10kg weight on it.
Been in 3 months with no signs of rust (yet) have the second shelf as a spare if it does, as the size is enough for several shampoos and shower gels.
Chrome plated brass. Wont rust at all and a sensible price. Stainless can still rust, from contamination during manufacturing as well as rubbish material. We make flow meters some of which are stainless and still get rust issues on some especially on ones that go on oil rigs etc.
My shower caddy hangs over the glass side -it's now 10 yrs old with no rust -just had to replace 8 x SS screws because of my ham fisted fingers when taking it apart to clean it - I spent a lot of money on bathroom accessories -all brass chromed and made in Italy - They all look like new.
I have three IKEA stainless sucker shower caddies, had them 3+ years never had any rust issues and the suckers last for ages (replaced them once in 3 years)
