Meteor Impact in Iran???

Please accept that I am not a nut job....

Just read (yes I know...) that there has been a meteor impact in northen Iran, anyone else seen the same floating around the web in the past few hours? Can't find mention of it on any news outlet, so taking it as a hoax or misinformation. Just curious to see if anyone has any info on this.

Not sure why it would be a conspiracy theory. Meteors come in all the time. It would be pretty cool to see the new feather though (if it got to the ground).

When we were driving to Poland on Friday night... saw something enter the atmosphere... both me and the wife.

It burned quite a vibrant green on entry... wasn't just a shooting star skimming the atmosphere.

Bit closer than Iran though, I think... we couldn't tell the distance though.

Are we going through a high-activity spot in our orbit?
