Ok, just realized metro apps can exist on desktop, don't know if this is well known, all i did was grab skype app at the top and pull it down to middle and then moved it right and it snapped there, i then went to the start area and then moused up to show what was open, then grapped chrome that was on my desktop and dragged it into metro and then it's possible to get your metro app on the desktop.

Probably old news, maybe very old, don't shoot me, thanks

Yeah, just making sure the distinction was clear. I got flamed in another thread for suggesting the desktop was treated as an app itself. You wouldn't be able to do this if it wasn't.

As in desktop on one side, metro app on the other?

If not post SS.

If its just snap screen, it's well known about.

Yes, metro skype is on my desktop, what other way are you guys talking about?

My opening post says ''metro apps on desktop''

You can also resize that app window, or move it to the other side of the screen.

I rather like it as it resizes your desktop to fit in the remaining space, so you can then use snap for splitting the other windows you have open. Effectively lets you have 3 things open / on screen at once.

hmmm, what do you mean, it's not on desktop, it's right there on the right of my desktop

To the right of your desktop see the bar between them, it is not on your desktop. It's just the snap feature.
It's shrunk your desktop an stuck it to the side. You can shrink your desktop by moving that bar and making Skype 3/4 of the screen

Well you can call it what you want, for all intents and purpose that is in my desktop space, to which I did not know about, I have seen the metro apps being snapped about in the metro area, but did not know you can then go to desktop and still have apps open at the side, like I said in OP, I didn't know about this and it could be old news, but for me it was new:)
