Metro Exodus appears on Microsoft Game store

And the other 90 odd titles too, including some nice titles like FM2019, Void ********* , Gears of War, Astroneer, Battlefleet Gothic Armada, Hollow Knight, Imperator Rome to name but a few. Crazy good deal really.

Indeed. I'm dropping humble monthly for a bit to play the games on gamepass

Considering most people seem to hate Microsoft Game Store (and almost every other client that isn't steam) almost as much as Epic I am not sure this will make a difference to most waiting for it.

I disliked GFWL.

This new service seems well thought out for once and the store has matured a LOT since its first showing.

I can even choose which HDD games are installed to now

Yes but you have to have your Windows 10 updated to the right version. More information in this thread => Xbox Game Pass for PC

Thanks, I thought it sounded a bit too good to be true, but thats awesome. Hopefully the quality of games stays this high as I'd probably buy a months sub from time to time and I usually hate subscription services.

I'll still buy Exodus on Steam when it arrives, but I have been itching to play it in the mean time.

The GFWL was a bit of a disaster at the time, something Microsoft did know and have since attempted to fix, their Windows store has also not been a stellar success, but they have now attempted to fix this even further and now bring new ways to play and and are going to allow Win32 games on the store, and are releasing certain titles on Steam, and the new PC game pass seems a step in the right direction

I'd take MS store over Epic anyday, and metro is in the new PC game pass for £1 for the first month, thats a right good deal if you ask me.

lol the EPIC Fail train keeps on rolling...

I bet MS will have more people playing it than on EGS - heck, even I'm thinking about picking up the pass to play it despite the fact that it looks like a pretty bland and uninspired middle-finger in the face of everything that made the first and second game unique and awesome... for £1 and a month to get through it it's a no-brainer

From what Epic said, the game sold very well actually.

It's clear your opinion on it so there's no point in debating it. A lot of people have less of an issue with it than you do though.

Uh-huh... some people are happier with it than others, couldn't that be said of anything? It would be easy to settle without bringing opinions into it if we have the official sales figures but for some strange reason Epic won't release them (they're probably just too good, that must be it)... but one set of people who have seen the figures are the shareholders at the publisher behind Exodus and we know they weren't happy at all

But fine if you don't want to debate it in this thread someone started specifically to discuss it... maybe go down town and grab a burger instead? I've heard McDonalds say that they make the best burger in town so it's sure to be really good!!!

There was a Tweet from some guy from THQ who went on to say the PC sales were so so, tweet was then deleted ( was all over reddit) then a day later Epic said game sold very well, it was from the looks of it , gagged, the game from all accounts sold extremely well whilst on Steam, then when released the sales tanked once no longer available on Steam, and Epic are left funding the bill in their contract to make up the shortfall, and its clear the game is allowed on any other platform other then Steam, so this , looks , but not proved to be a case of Epic gunning for Steam !!

https://www.vg247.com/2019/05/23/metro-exodus-sales-majority-on-consoles/ - wasn't keen to say in that, but it seems he wasn't happy from another post I can't seem to find - shame.

Either way, the game is slowly being released from its exclusive deal with Epic and more store fronts will obtain the game, MS being one of the first, and providing the game available to those not wanting to use the Epic launcher for £1 for first month, then £3.99 after and you also get a load of other games to play. Or buy outright, how odd MS has come out the good guys !! lol

Not too bad eh?

Absolutely not, multiple choice is definitely the way to go in the long term. I will very possibly give it a try for the quid a month.

Personally though I don't really have anything against any or all of the launchers. If there's something I want I will get it.

Is it me or is this game a bit janky? Every time I start it up, it doesn't seem to remember the resolution. It says it's running in 1440p but it doesn't look like it. So then I change the resolution to 1080p, it goes through some process configuring things and then I have to change it back to 1440p and it does the configuration again. Even with an SSD it takes ages to get going.

Seems alright to me. My first launch of the game was a bit wayward but been fine ever since.
