Metro: Exodus [E3 2017]

That's just spiteful really, also, who is greedy? valve or 4A Games?. It is reported elsewhere that Epic undercuts steam with new store that gives game developers more money, it's just business in a competitive market.

I don't really understand why "it's just business" somehow makes it exempt from being greedy? Obviously I'm talking about 4A Games... Valve effectively set the price of 30% revenue that has existed for years on their (like it or not) superior platform offering a lot more features... If GAME are selling a PS4 for £250 and then a different store put it on sale for £200 do you immediately go "OMFG GAME ARE SO GREEDY LOOK AT THEM!!!"

It is spiteful, but so what? I don't like Epic's crappy product, I don't like Tencent as a company or trust them at all... and a developer who wants to try and strong-arm me into signing up to their stuff anyway to play their game out of pure greed deserve to crash and burn as far as I'm concerned

Has it been confirmed anywhere that this will support 21:9? I'm guessing it will but been stung in the past!

Last Light did so it'd be really suprising if they went backwards on that.

4A wouldn't have had a say in this. Blame Deep Silver/Koch/THQ.

The whole point of using a launcher is to get all the benefits that come with it like cloud saves. With a pc and a laptop that is a non negotiable for me. Can't support any game that willfully ignores cloud saves.

Who cares? It's hardly like Metro is the be all and end all for gaming. It's a great series but I'll be honest exodus from what I've seen doesn't look like it will live up to the hype. Plenty of other good games to come. Also it's one developer who I doubt speaks for 4A as a whole.

Metro 4 on mobile :D

What a stupid thing to do though, threaten the master race of gaming

I'm considering uninstalling the Epic launcher as the free games since Subnautica haven't really interested me and I don't really trust Tencent especially with the whole fiasco of Huawei supposedly spying on users I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't funnelling some data from the billions playing fortnite to the PRC

I'd feel a bit scummy buying it as this point. Don't want anything to do with encouraging a market where every big new release becomes a bidding war for companies to exclusively lock it to their crappy launcher.

I feel sorry for all those who poured their heart and souls into making this game, but honestly wouldn't mind seeing it made an example of just to kill this silly ******** in the crib.

It's only going to take another title or two and Valve will cave and reduce it's take, and the publishers will return to Steam.

Except this time, more of the revenue will be going to the publishers and developers of the game, rather than lining the pockets of Valve.

A good thing for everyone, except Valve. But they're enjoyed exploiting their dominance of the PC market for long enough. It's not like they're banging out games any more.

If Valve was using the billions of dollars it takes from the PC gaming industry to fund development of top-quality PC-exclusive titles, I think there might be some sympathy.

Oh well... I liked 2033 and LL but they're hardly the best games ever made, I don't need their **** launcher nor their pathetic threats about the next game not being on PC if this one bombs, especially after what they pulled and the fact Exodus doesn't even look that great from what's been shown. Make a good game and be fair, then it will sell. Simple as.

Back to RDR2 and other great games.

What's with the the steam superior platform offering a lot more features..Err 14 years I've been with steam and hardly anything has changed, look at how many billions they raked in for little output, I will buy the game whatever the client if the reviews justify it, so many oh I need my games in one place gargabe just lol.

I won't be buying the game! Don't agree with the company going exclusively to Epic Games! Its no different to Tesco stopping say Asda from selling Milk or Branded Bread! imagin if they did that ? All hell would break lose..... There are ways to get customers to use you

Epic games give the developers better rates I get that so they could technically just sale it a lot lot cheaper than steam and get people that way! Blocking it on purpose from a platform is a **** take hence I won't be buying it at all.

On the other hand Steam are a bigger platform and they should get dirty and undercut Epic games and make loads of games exclusive to themselves :) That's what I'd do if I was the boss of the company.... everyone just wants to S**** everyone over these days so do it back
