Metro Last Light broken?

I was playing a bit of Metro Last Light Redux on Steam prior to the latest Nvidia driver update. Following the driver update the game crashes whenever it tries to load a up a level and continue. I've tried verifying the integrity of the game cache and starting in safe mode with no improvement. Googled the issue but found nothing useful.

Can anyone else with an Nvidia card and the latest drivers fire up the game and let me know whether it is still working for you please?

Thank you - still broken on my 970 though. If you are on the latest drivers then maybe it's something else after all.

For me it has gone from working every time to crashing back to the desktop every time with no middle ground.
