metro redux

Does Metro have something to do with Nazi Germany? After looking at gameplay, I see "reich" etc. I've always had a fondness for alternate timelines, games like Wolfenstein and so on.

this is what prices should be like for regenerated last gen titles.[/QUOTE]

Totally agree. 2 full games for £25 is a bargain. Even the RRP of £35 is still a good price.
I've ordered this game now. Haven't played either yet so I'm looking forward to playing them.

Without spoiling it too much, it is set in Moscow (after a global nuclear war), in the Metro system where the remaining survivors of Moscow live, as the surface is uninhabitable (and full of mutants). Within the Metro, there are a number of groups/factions, and one of those is a Nazi group:

The Fourth Reich is a Neo-Nazi faction within the post-apocalyptic metro system. As with most factions in the Metro universe, the Fourth Reich did not appear spontaneously, but evolved from an existing group, most likely radicals in the Central Metro Command.

It's more STALKER (though less open) than Wolfie but as above there is some neo-nazi stuff going on. I really enjoyed the story of 2033 but I never completed Last Light.

Impressed with the release price of this.

I went with Tesco too, had some vouchers and a giftcard to use which brought it down to £11. Really looking forward to playing it.

Just pre-ordered this today for XB1, interested to play through them as I know nothing about them. They've been on my to play list for the 360 forever though.

Never got to play metro 2033 on console as it never got released on ps3, last light was on ps+ for ps3 but it ran like a dog imo so I've took a punt and pre ordered for ps4
