I've just played the first 2 minutes of this and have to say it looks awesome.

Playing on DX11, very high, advanced dof turned off, tess on and advanced physx and the dark smokey room where the beasts drop from the ceiling is the best looking PC graphics I think I have ever seen.

The bad news is at 1920x1200 on these settings the frame rate goes between 15-40 so probably unplayable :D
 
Yes it is an intense game, i think its pretty much a new benchmark.

Unfortunatly you will have to lower graphics detail if fps goes too low.

But for someone using PhysX could you please check my post about PhysX i am having some troubles.
 
I played about 10 minutes of it, got outside, got attached by some things running across me, got bored, uninstalled.
 
i done a little of this game.. kicked the hell out of my graphics so had to set everything to low... wasnt impressed :( but seems like yet another stalker type 'wow look at that' games with no good story line...

Shame they cant mix the two.. i miss good games :(
 
installed it booted into game looked around nice grahpics turned off my pc and went for a motorcycle ride xD i've not touched it since been on wow tho.. /ahh jeez
 
On hard it's really really really hard. You have to be real careful with your ammo and also your gas mask. I haven't had much time to dedicate to it but my mate said he has got to a point now where he pretty much can't carry on as he has no gas mask filters left and there is no where he can buy any from and since the game only saves the last checkpoint he cannot load an old save to go back and try things a little differently so he has to start it again. So either all that is true or there is a gas mask filter vendor he has overlooked. He is only a work mate... :)
 
Ive played through a few levels in same settings as OP on 5770 in 1680 x 1050. If you think that room is bad, wait until you get a few levels in. Works fine most of the time but will then drop to 15 fps. Going to try 1440 x 900 tonight. It does look great but im getting very tired now of the Farcry monster things.

Hopefully there will be a mod with something like hospital/haunted school/ayslum/chernobyl type levels
 
There seems to be a lot of talk about this game on the graphics forums. Mostly for benching purpose, especially since the debut of Fermi. As a game, a lot of the major review sites are giving it average reviews at best. Tried it on the 360 and though meh. However some people seem to be using it as a focal point for upgrading their video card. Just like what happened with Crysis.
