metronet takeover

If anyone here is with metronet, then you would know that they've been taken over by plusnet.
I was looking around on ADSL guide and heard nothing but bad things about plusnet, so was just wondering if people here are of the same opinion?
Do you think metronet's service will suffer now that plusnet has taken over?
Also, is it a good idea to stick with them? or should I change?
If change, any recommendations? I'm looking for a 1mb - 2mb connection and no download limit. What would be the best for this?

Considering the responses here and on the ADSL forums, not to mention the fact that I was unhappy with the e-mail they sent me regarding changes, i've decided to switch to Zen and upgrade to 2mb while i'm at it

What really irritated me was the fact that they want you to spread your usage across a month evenly and your speeds will suffer if you fail to do so. I don't know when i'm going to be free etc., I just don't liek the idea of any kind of cap on so called 'unlimited' broadband.
