MG Sport & Racing Limited - Administraion Sale

Was tempted to nip along to that as it's close but I'm away in france on the 25th. Some interesting stuff they have for sale, wonder how much some of the cars will be going for.

There is some good stuff there like a whole workshop of tools and several prototype cars

Loads of great stuff, and not just for the MG enthusiasts either! Sparco Race seats, valeting stuff, etc, etc.

I reckon most of the lights and parts will go big time!

I dont understand this webcast malarky

Can we just like, register and bid online? Will it be video casted? Do you just put in a max bid?

Basically you register your details, then register to bid on the auction. You can then download the software to be able to view the auction in real time via the web interface (well it's actualy 2-3 secs delay) You bid just like you would at any auction after that.

Be sure you know what fee they charge and it's very probibly going to have VAT added on after so your looking at about 20% added onto the final auction price.

Auction for this lot is on the 25th of March.

How much for the SV's ? 30k?

Clarkson said these were great cars just overpriced and so uncompetitive, so now their just great cars

The SV-R's were 70k new i think - but i'd imagine at this auction you could pick one up for 30-40K, insane.

I think it was very very very briefly only a handful were made, I think rowan atkinson owns one of the few.
Yeah he had nothing but problems with it from hat I remember from evo, so now MG racing are gone I'd stay well away as there won't even be anyone to help fix it.

I bet they actually go for mega bucks.

This must be one of the most exclusive cars you can buy. And there are only 2 in the auction, and they are never going to make anymore.

Future classic?

Rowan Atkinson ran one for several months as part of Evo Magazines 'Fast Fleet'. It was a press car, did not belong to him, and had to be given back shortly after the company folded.
