MG ZR - Opinions

Hey.

Yes, I know its a Rover 25 with a bodykit, yes I've heard various opinions and read various reviews which hint at poor reliability.

Just wondering what fellow OCUK'ers thought of the MG ZR?

Yeah, just reading a review on Parkers.

Engine reliability is an issue apparently, shame, there not a bad looking motor, and quite cheap to pickup nowadays.

And they are more than just a 25 with a bodykit. They do differ mechanically as well. They arent particularly cheap to insure as said. The only thing the K series engine really suffers from is HGF, and that is easily fixed if you maintain your car and keep an eye on coolant levels and oil condition.

Well, I always maintain my cars, so that wouldn't be an issue. I just don't want an unreliable motor.
