MGS 2

Hey all,

So I'm bored and was looking through my games - and I came across Metal Gear Solid 2 for the PC.

I was just wondering if anyone knew if the PS3 controller would work in the game?

Wiki says first one is, but nothing about the second.

Wouldn't know about the controller, try it and see

It was substance that was release on the PC, it does say you can use the a gamepad on the back of the box why dont you look through the manual.

First and second games were released on the PC but they suffer from terrible controls. I'm fairly certain you can't manually setup a controller in MGS2, (through the game atleast). You may be able to do it using some third party software which lets you bind keyboard buttons to buttons on your joypad. I think a piece of software called GlovePIE lets you do this.

Probabaly easier to get a PS2 and complete it on that. That's all i did. PS2 £ = nothing, almost all my friends has one lying about somewhere, game = £5 posted off the bay. Completed it fully with extras and put it all to bed. Glad i did. Can't wait for MGS4!

I had a random USB controller work for the first one so the second one should be ok.

i couldn't get MGS2 to work in Vista, irregardless of how I tried to run it

If anyone has any tips on how to do so, they would be much appreciated.
