Seen this for a ten quid in a local shop, is it worth picking up?, having only briefly dabbled in previous games of this series.

I would say it's well worth a tenner. It's a marmite game; you either love it or hate it, but for a tenner it wouldn't be the end of the world if you didn't like it eh?

It's excellent, and that's coming from someone who had only played MGS: Twin Snakes previously.

No idea what half of the storyline meant, but it's a great game!

It's definitely worth a tenner - but be warned, you will find a few of the cutscenes mystifying/boring as they assume you know a modicum of MGS backstory.

I've never played metal gear solid before. I'm going to start with no1 when it comes out on PSN next week or the week after. Should be a satisfying few weeks

man, mgs i bought it like 9 months ago(2nd time) and i finished it the first weekend i had the chance, it was brilliant
