MGS3: Subsistence question

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (Limited Edition)

Publisher: Konami Digital EntertainmentProduct No: SLUS-21243 / 21359 / 21360Description:

The following conditions have been confirmed on PS3 System Software Version 1.10: Throughout the title, with the PS3 using HDMI out, the screen appears divided horizontally, and both of the divided portions of the screen display out of sync from one another. All conditions have been resolved on PS3 System Software Version 1.31.

so it would seem that it will work fine

I just bought this yesterday was going to post some questions about it, Ive only just started and so far i have no problems on my PS3, only tried subsitence though (main game). FMV seems to work fine no Gliches in game so far.

Thats the US version of MGS3 subsistance by looking at the product code, also the firmware is pre Euro release so its probably for a US EE fitted PS3 console.

As I said I havent had a problem so far

Make sure it is subsistance though, as early versions of MGS3: Snake Eater don't work, but iirc subsistance is fine.

It was a pain to get hold of Subsistence! Couldnt find it new anywhere manged to get a pre owned copy for £20 should off been £25 but had most of the manual missing!

YES!

And it looks awesome upscaled and smoothed.

Anyone had any luck taking it online? I think you have to sign up for the PS2 online service , but im not sure.

The servers were shut down 4 months ago.

Ok so I don't know if there's a framecap or it's made to be this way, but MGS1 and MGS3 (vanillas) seem to lag, especially when compared to MGS2 (Substance) which runs extremely well. Vanilla MGS3 crashes a lot too
