Is the beta playable as soon as it's downloaded, or can you not activate it until the 21st?

Once they fix the image caching the new store is perfect.

Only works on 21st. You can start up the game and download (try to anyway) the update to version 1.01

mines coming down at a steady rate now. And more importantly its been stable for about 1 hour now. Maybe the initial rush is over

It uses a bittorrent client which are notorious for needing a while to get sorted. If you leave it for half an hour it'll figure out what peers it wants to connect to and through what ports and then it SHOULD speed up significantly.

I gave up in the end, have better things to do than try and get a game I can't play for 4 days (ok I don't have better things to do, but anwway) - watched the trailer, which looked decent enough (the guy at the end - wtf?) then went and had a nice soothing game of Everybody's Golf

Has anyone managed to get the game to update?

EDIT - Mine just kicked in after waiting for about 30mins at 0 KB/s I am now going at about 120 KB/s and rising

im on 46 % on peer to peer had to leave it about 10 mins though finding ports and all downloading at 150kbps hope that helps

I get network failures on direct, peer to peer its been sat for twenty minutes now on 0 speed. Not a good start Konami.
