Another trailer 9:30pm EST tomorrow or today( :dunno: ) rumoured to be 10~15 mins long

The first 60-seconds of the audio was posted on Hideo's blog
The transcript here:

(taken from Wikipedia)

A 90-second audio teaser from the upcoming trailer of the game was broadcasted in Session 15 of the Kojima Productions Report audio program. [2] The clip features a conversation between Snake (Akio Otsuka) and Campbell (Takeshi Aono), which reveals that since the events of the Big Shell incident, various private military companies (PMCs) have since been established that provide their arsenal to mercenaries worldwide, threatening the superpowers of the United States. The five largest PMCs in the world are actually all dummy corporations operated by a single parent company, Outer Heaven (the name of Big Boss' mercenary dispatching company in the first Metal Gear and a recurring motif in recent games).

The transcript from the conversation

Snake: War has changed.

Snake: Our time has ended.

Snake: Our war is over.

Campbell: Since the Manhattan incident, restrictions on military intervention in foreign countries have eased, fueling demand for mercenaries.

Campbell: Today, the world's wars depend largely on PMCs, Private Military Companies whose business includes supplying these mercenaries.

Campbell: PMCs have become a serious threat to the world.

Snake: The U.S. has exported too much of its military power. Now she's paying the price.

Campbell: In total, they've got enough manpower to rival the U.S. military.

Campbell: Based on our investigation, the five largest PMCs are run by a dummy corporation, which acts as a single mother company.

Snake: And the mother company...?

Campbell: Outer Heaven.

Snake: The one world in which soldiers will always have a place....

I stayed up to watch the whole PS3 conference. I saw dull game after dull game. I was hoping that they would show some MGS4 footage and they did and just like the PS2 I'm sold. I wanna know what happened to Raiden, why its Liquid Ocelot, whats up with Meryl, why Snake why?! I just hope the PS3 is cheaper when it comes out.

I guess Liquid's arm has taken full control of Ocelot's body-or they are both working together

Raiden-I have no idea,I didn't think he was that bad in MGS2 but now,oh my
Guess he went ninja after being played by the patriots

5:49 it's the real MGS4 trailer, the one they "really wanted us to see." Stay tuned!

Col. Campbell is talking about the Manhattan incident of MGS2. The United States has imported too much military technology and is now paying the price. This is the voiceover from last week's Kojima podcast. Chilling talk of Outer Heaven.

Now it's the excerpt from yesterday's Sony conference. If you haven't watched it yet, DO SO. Okay, no, there's more to this. Campbell talks of a man trying to create the world envisioned by Big Boss. Footage of one of those bio-mech Metal Gears rampaging through a city street. Old Snake in a cemetary, saluting a grave. Shades of Big Boss. Voiceover, talk of nanomachine-controlled soldiers who can't point their guns at "clients." Otacon lands in the graveyard in a chopper, brings Snake on board to meet a client, Roy Campbell. Says "we've found him" in the Middle East. These cutscenes look utterly incredible. They must be real-time, because the frame rate is not consistent.

"Liquid has made his move." But which Liquid?

and whats up with raiden?? he seems to be........cool??

It's either FOXDIE that's causing Snake to age faster or that he is a clone

Raiden has high heels on

Has anyone been able to watch it?

Where did his eye patch go? and didnt snake get younger?

This is THE next gen game i am looking most forward too, probably wont see it till christmas next year though :(

I'm guessing Snake may get the eye patch later, given to him by Otacon or something or Kojima got rid of it
He looks a lot younger than the TGS trailer that's probably down to Kojima changing him during development, the TGS trailer was probably just a showcase of what they'd got up to so far with the PS3

The PSP MGS looks pretty cool too

May 12, 2006 - The Metal Gear Solid series is featured in the latest issue of Famitsu, with producer Hideo Kojima discussing Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops (PSP), Metal Gear Solid Bande Dessinee (PSP) and, of course, Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS2).

Kojima's juiciest comments concerned MGS4. "Until now," said Kojima, "we've released two entries of the MSX2 Metal Gear series, and three entries in the Metal Gear Solid series. Add to this Portable Ops, and you get a total of six titles. All mysteries will be cleared up in Metal Gear Solid 4."
Kojima was very clear about the finality of MGS4. Everything will be cleared up in MGS4 -- and Snake may even suffer the very fate that's hinted at in the new E3 trailer. Said Kojima, "We'll clear up all mysteries in 4 and, in the end, after this, will Snake die!?".

And, just to make sure we're clear on the matter, when asked if the story will come to a true end, Kojima responded without the slightest bit of vagueness, "It will come to an end."

Snake is an old timer in Metal Gear Solid 4. We're not sure if this was just a convenience that was stumbled upon by someone at Kojima Productions recently, but Kojima pointed out to the magazine that if you remove the I and S from "SOLID," you get "IS." Once "IS," a word for existence (Kojima's explanation is directed at Japanese readers who may not know what "Is" means), has been removed from "SOLID," you're left with "O." Or, according to Kojima, a Snake that doesn't exist is an old Snake.

We'll let you digest that for just a bit.

The MGS4 E3 trailer showed a number of characters that have had their moment in Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid history so far. "Nearly all the characters from the Metal Gear Solid series will make an appearance," Kojima confirmed with the magazine.

In addition to a return of classic Metal Gear Solid characters, we can also expect a return of gameplay systems from part 3. The camouflage system from part 3 will make it into 4. In addition, the game will include "Octacamo." This name appears to be formed from the words "octopus" and "camouflage." An octopus can change its color to match its surroundings, Kojima explained. "With the PlayStation 3, we can replicate this change, so we decided to include it."

As an example of the new Octacamo mechanics, Kojima suggested that if Snake is standing next to a wall worn out with holes, he too will appear to have holes.

Kojima also revealed to the magazine that MGS4 will have Online play. "The Online in subsistence was just the preparation for 4," Kojima revealed, without going into specifics on what we can expect.

Finally, Kojima made some comments on the game's visuals. MGS4 is widely regarded as the finest representation of console graphics at E3, but Kojima states, "It will get even better."

Start counting the days until the Tokyo Game Show, where we expect to get our next look at MGS4.
