MHz or timings?

im gonna be getting an i7 3770k and some samsung green 30nm ram.

I was wondering what would i benefit from the most tight timings or increased MHz?

I will be doing CAD, 3D render, web developing, programming and graphic design, it will be on two monitors with multiple windows open, i wont be doing any gaming.

so judging by what i have seen this ram is very capable of (but not guaranteed)

7-7-7-24 1N @ 1600MHZ @1.5v

or

11-11-11-28 2N @ 2400MHz @ 1.5v

There will only be minamal diffrenceof about 1-2%.

Just better to overclock that 3770k

that is my plan, im only gonna try for 4.5GHz, if i can get 4.7 or 4.8 stable and without the heat i may go higher.

as for my ram im inclined to go for the MHz my self so we will see

probably be better with the timings over the Mhz. But I'm not too knowlegable in RAM

The difference will be minimal so over clock your processor and choose a setting for your memory which is stable and within spec.

Try and get 1t timings though if you can
