It looks like Miami's favourite Vice detectives are back in a full length feature film opening this summer, starring James Crockett (Farrell) and Ricardo Tubbs (Foxx) to take on the Florida drug world.

you can see the trailer here :)

This is deffo one on my list to see this year, and the good news is that Michael Mann is onboard with this as well :)

70s??? I think not mate - pure 1980s action - and the music was good too, as were the cars, the girls, the clothes (ahem, let's forget about the clothes even though that's what I used to wear at the time lol)

I am a huge fan of the original series and I will go to see the film. Michael Mann did the original series as well as the film so it will have everything Mann about it, namely style, excellent cinematic shots and an awesome soundtrack. I am confident Farrell and Fox will do a good job as Crockett and Tubbs but nothing will top the original series for me.

Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas are unbeatable.

Just saw the trailer as well, cannot wait.

From what I read about the Miami Vice TV series, it was the music that made it shine.
Im hoping Mann will bring togeather an awesome sound track with high octane action, nice women, and great cinamatic shots.
Trailer is a good start.

Reminds me a bit of Any Given Sunday - Soundtack on that was amazing

it looks amazing a lot better than bb2

but then again I did just watch season 1-2 of miami vice :p

No way, they are just trying to cash in on the name.

Every part of the trailer is a rip off of BB, I bet they dont have the Ferrari Daytona in it.

Crockett's Ferrari Daytona was actually a modified Corvette. Ferrari executives were so upset that this ersatz Ferrari was gaining such popularity that they offered to provide the series with their new flagship car, the Testarossa.

Never knew that :D
