Is it possible to buy a clip on microphone and also record video at the same time. As sometimes recording outside or in a noisey environment, speech is very muffled

Yes that's right. I personally don't have an iPhone but my friend who is not too tech-savy says that you can't film video while using an external microphone. Just wondering if this was true or not

There are adaptors that allow you to use mics with 3.5mm connections; similarly there are a handful of mic addons.

I'm just asking if it is possible or not possible to use an external mic while recording a video. As I don't have an iPhone to test it with.
