MIc not working !

hey,

i recently made a new rig... and my mic dnt work on it !

i messed round with the settings and nothing still working. i tested the mic well 2 mics on a second system they both work and nothing on here.

am running vista 32bit on a p35 asus mobo....

...HELP!!! so annoying!

Try going into your mic properties and check if it's muted, also, I find in TS I need to tick the gain on the mic too.

Can you run some kind of calibration test within the audio properties?

Try the back ports, maybe the front are wired up incorrectly.

Depending on what you need the mic for, it should be muted on the playback side and selected on the record else you hear your own voice.
Vista does hide stuff....see say here.
If you using it with stereo mix, (music and mic) then it musn't be muted.

YEp! uses that

av tried most things now... even the playback just to check. switched it back off now.
