Hi guys,

time for a new mouse (previous mouse had an accident involving high speed and the wall due to the button sticking yet again...)

What do you suggest?

Looking at the Razor Magma style but also looking at the Logitech MX510

The razor is 1600dpi whereas the mx510 is only 800dpi, the mx510 does have a nice new shiny steelpad mouse matt to go with it and is slightly cheaper...(need to buy two so price does make a difference)

is there much noticeble difference during play? mainly play bf2 if that effects anything!

any reviews on either?

get the 510, i have it its awsome. I've also used razors since the boomslang, and they are generally good but have awful build quality.

I prefer func to steelpad though!

Func to steelpad? do you not think the steelpad is a good matt? my main thoughts for it was the fact that at least i would have a good matt to go with the mouse, not sure how good my curerect one would be.

Build quality is a must as I can be a bit hard wearing on computer stuff (big heavy hands that seem more suited to sledgehammers...)

It looks like the 510 has a good following :)

well, im not sure the steelpad even existed when i bought my func lol, and i've never really like the feel of other mats since. It is however a preference, some people will love steelpad - only way to see is to try them. Since i've pretty much stopped playing gaming at a competative level it doesnt really matter for me anyway!
They are all excellent pads, its just a personal thing.

I like the steelpad myself, I cut mine in half so I could use one for each of my mice :p

BTW the MS 6000 laser mouse is quite good too.

Another vote for the 510 and steelmat here. It's big though, I had to take a saw to the shelf support of my comp desk just to fit the thing on!
