Long shot here, but has anyone eaten in any starred restaurants in Berlin?
There are three, two starred: Kempinski, Reinstoff and Fischers. The former seems to be quite German in influence, Reinstoff seems quite modern (and the cheapest) whereas Fischers seems focused towards fish. Something for everyone, unfortunately I can only afford one!
There are roughly ten one starred places, and I'm investigating them now.
I won't be going until the first weekend of December, but may as well look now. Obviously, menus will only be an indication but what can you do. In terms of budget, I'm not overly fussed but I wouldn't be comfortable spending more than 250pp including wine.
So, what I'm asking is has anyone eaten in any starred restaurants in Berlin and would recommend them?
Whilst 1 starred places are a lot cheaper, part of me thinks 'sod it'. Just go 2 star. It's likely to be my first adult experience of Michelin quality food/service.
