First time poster in motors so be gentle with me 
Weve been given a 1999 T Reg Micra by my other halfs nan. Its in excellent nick and only done 64k miles, spending a lot of its time in her garage.
However,its having problems...
When we got it it wouldnt start everytime so we solved that by replacing the starter and now it starts everytime. Also the rear window demister didnt work ( and still dosent even tho the fuse seems ok )
Howver, since it had the starter replaced the dashboard instruments have stopped working. It all lights up but the odometer, speed guage, fuel guage and temperature guage dont work.
Ive checked all the fuses and ive removed the battery, give it a good charge and put it back on with no effect.
My dad fitted the starter and he said he had to disconnect a few wires to get to the starter but says hes connected it all back up.
Anyone got any ideas?
