Micro ATX build.

For several reasons i need to change my system to a smaller & lighter form.
System at the moment.
NZXT Phantom case.
Asus Crosshair V Formula motherboard.
AMD FX 8150 procesorr.
Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB Memory
Crucial M4 512GB SSD. Windows 7 64bit & programs.
Storge- 2TB W/D Black.
Seagate 750GB Momentus XT Steam games.
Corsair Professional Series Gold Ax850 Power Supply
Corsair CWCH80 Hydro Series H80
LG BH10LS30.AUAU10B 10x Internal Blu-Ray BDRW
Asus HD 7970 DirectCU II TOP 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

It does everything i require from it & am pretty happy with this set up.

The case i am looking at for the new build is a, Corsair Obsidian 350D Windowed Micro ATX Case
I would have used the AMD 8150 for the build, but am finding it hard to find a micro atx board of high spec & quality. Any suggestions please.
Otherwise looking down the Intel road, i5 or i7, & one of the Gene boards maybe. Again recommendations on motherboards, & i5 versus i7.
All the rest of the build i want to keep what i have to save money.

Its a very tight market tbh and I dont know of any AM3+ boards that are decent for overclocking the 8150

I dont wanna just say go intel as its an expense that wont be worth it tbh.

Rock and a hard place mate, if you can justify the money to go intel and matx then go for it but I doubt you will notice a difference. Is the case worth the money needed to build into it?

Yep i understand what you are saying, i am happy with what i have, but may soon be forced into getting a smaller case.

I don't think there are many decent AM3+ micro ATX motherboards, especially which support Bulldozer/Piledriver primarily because of the high power draw.

The best route for micro machines would be Intel but sadly that will add onto the expense

I looked at this the other day too and I believe there is certainly a gap in the market here.

Intel is the only way to go for good overclocking mATX.
